French Toast

A classic breakfast, but also good for brunch. Also a very good way to use stale bread.


  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 to 6 slices bread (can be stale)
  • 1 dessert spoon butter
  • Frying pan
  • Cinnamon
  • Sugar
  • Cooked bacon (optional)

What To Do:

  1. Toast bread
  2. Lightly beat eggs and milk together in a bowl (it is better if this bowl is shallow but wide)
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste (start with a pinch of each)
  4. Heat butter in frying pan (on high heat)
  5. Dip toast in bread and wipe of excess (on the side of the bowl)
  6. Place in frying pan and cook until golden on underside
  7. Turn and cook the other side
  8. Mix equal amounts of sugar and cinnamon in a bowl
  9. Remove from the pan and place on plate, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and serve with cooked bacon
